I admired most of the paintings, sculptures, and architectures and some even got me thinking and scooping deeper. But, being the uncultured fool, as far as art goes, that I am, a few seemed lifeless, confusing, and even ugly to me. Yet, standing in the middle of a walled building booming with so much culture and arts felt beautiful. It’s fascinating how one can have such imagination to create a piece of art and even a collection.
Yet, that wasn’t the highlight of my visit to Ben Cab Museum. What really got my mouth hung open and my jaw dropped was the 180% spectacular view. This is one of those moments when I really felt one with nature and at peace with myself. I would willingly give up the luxuries of the city if given a chance to live here. Even for a month, yes! It would be the perfect creative retreat. And a treat to the body, mind, and soul. Maybe I’d even finish a book? Wow, sarap lang isipin!
But if you’re neither an artsy-fartsy or a nature-lover, it doesn’t mean that it’s pointless to give this place a visit. Especially if you’re a foodie! In the basement of the building, you can find Cafe Sabel. I’m afraid I didn’t eat enough to make a credible food review. But with my lunch choice, I can say they are serving fresh and decent dishes. Drinks look refreshing too!
Cordon-bleu for lunch. Perfect crunch on the outside and just the right amount of creaminess in the inside.
Having the perfect sip while taking in the beauty of the view.
In my future trips to Baguio, I won’t mind going the extra mile and going out-of-the-way just to see this place again.
